Membership :- Medical Clinical Officers Professionals-Uganda (MCOP-U)

Membership

Student Membership

This type of membership will be open to full enrolled students for the course ofclinical medicine.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Membership shall be open to all fully enrolled student medical clinical officers in a registered health institution as prescribed under Ministry of Education and Sports.
  • Ensure that their annual subscriptions are paid and on time.
  • Be Eligible to be linked to development partners, collaborative agencies and government institutions for opportunities like scholarships, through recommendation by Executive Committee.
  • Participate at international, regional, District fora.
  • Be Eligible to participate in capacity building and professional development programs.
  • Be entitled to participate in career development functions as may be organized by the organization.

Ordinary Membership

Membership shall be open to qualified medical clinical officers as prescribed underthe Allied health Professionals Council Act.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ensure that their annual subscriptions are paid and on time.
  • Be Eligible to be linked to development partners, collaborative agencies and government institutions for opportunities like scholarships, through recommendation by Executive Committee.
  • Participate at international, regional, District fora.
  • Be Eligible to participate in capacity building and professionaldevelopment programs.
  • Be Eligible to vie for any position on any of the organs of the Association.

Associate Membership

This shall be open to other Associations and entities that have interest in MCOP-UVision and Mission.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Associate members may participate in the activities but shall not beeligible to vote;
  • Associate members shall not be eligible to vie for any position on any of the organs or
Committees of the Association;
  • Shall be involved in resource mobilization for the
  • Shall have the right to speak and provide guidance at the meetingsof the association but no right to

Honorary Membership

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Shall be open to individuals, Associations and entities who have selflessly worked for the advancement of MCOP-U vision, Mission and Objectives as well as in the fight against injustices against healthprofessionals in Uganda and the
  • Shall also be open to individuals with a continuous commitment to the MCOP-U vision, mission and
  • Honorary members will be proposed by Executive Committee to theGeneral Assembly for admission.
  • Honorary members may participate in the activities and meetings ofthe Association but shall not be eligible to vote or be voted for;
  • Shall also participate in resources mobilization for the association.
